Things to keep in mind with your bended parts

Simple, single bend parts will have a tolerance of +/- 0.015” from bend to edge.

Multi-bend parts will have a tolerance of +/- 0.030” from bend to edge; each additional bend adds at least 0.015” tolerance.

Sheet metal parts will have a +/- 2-degree bend angle tolerance for bends longer than 24".

Polycarbonate parts will have a +/- 5-degree bend angle tolerance for bends up to 24" long.

How do I configure bends in my STEP file?
To configure bending services for your part, begin by uploading your design file. Next, select a material from our available options that is eligible for bending services. Ensure that the bending definitions in your file are correct and accurately reflected. After verifying these details, save your definitions to secure the changes. Finally, add the configured parts to your shopping cart. You will notice that bending services have been added to the line item, confirming that your part will be processed accordingly.
What tolerance levels do you maintain for bending services?
For bending services, the tolerances vary based on the complexity of the part and the material used. Simple, single-bend parts maintain a dimensional tolerance of ±0.015 inches from bend to edge. For multi-bend parts, the tolerance is slightly larger at ±0.030 inches from bend to edge, with each additional bend introducing a minimum of an extra 0.015 inches to the tolerance. The bend angle tolerances are also dependent on whether the part is crafted from sheet metal or plastic, ensuring precision tailored to the material properties.
Why am I unable to select a material for my project?
If you're unable to select a material for your part, it's often due to the part size being either too large or too small for the available materials. Please verify that your design file is set up at a 1:1 scale and is in either inches or millimeters. After uploading your file, also ensure that the correct unit of measurement is selected to match your design specifications.
