Things to keep in mind with your Platted parts

Minor imperfections might show through the plating.

Color finishes can vary between batches.

Different alloys will result in different color finishes.

Plating can scratch, exposing the raw material underneath.

Bend lines will be visible through the plating, as die protection is not provided.

Parts that need welding should not be plated. If welding is necessary after plating, the plating must be removed in the welding area.

Nickel plating usually adds approximately 0.0002" per side to your parts, while zinc plating adds about 0.0003".

What are the standard production times?
Your estimated shipping date is dynamically calculated in your shopping cart as you add parts and services. Generally, production times for standard orders, excluding additional services such as bending or finishing, range from 2-4 business days prior to shipping.
How can I get a discount on my order?
Discounts based on quantity are automatically calculated during the quoting process. As you add parts to your cart, you'll notice discounts of 20% or more when you order two or more identical parts in most materials. What are the order limits for the number of parts?
At our facility, we accept orders ranging from a single piece . With no minimum order requirement, you can request precisely the number of parts your project requires.
Why am I unable to select a material for my project?
If you're unable to select a material for your part, it's often due to the part size being either too large or too small for the available materials. Please verify that your design file is set up at a 1:1 scale and is in either inches or millimeters. After uploading your file, also ensure that the correct unit of measurement is selected to match your design specifications.
Are plating services available?
We provide plating services for sheet metal parts. For detailed information on the specifications and material requirements necessary for our plating services, please refer to our Plating Guidelines. When you're ready, simply upload your design file to our website, choose a compatible material, and select the electroplating option before finalizing your purchase at checkout.
